Viking Walkingstick - Part 4

Almost done with this walkingstick, finished staining it, added one coat of danish oil(polymerized linseed oil), I'll add one or two more coats.

Fancy custom made copper ferrule, actually just an end cap for copper plumbing, I grind the edges and surfaces with sander to give it a smooth matte finish and to develop a nice patina faster as the burnished finish that it comes from the factory with tends to resist developing a patina. And then I made a small copper cut nail to tack the ferrule in place, as I've ferrules working lose with the wood shrinking and swelling and glues failing.
